“B is for Bitcoin” a book written by Graeme Moore was introduced to young learners so they could become familiar with the world of bitcoin and blockchain, that will be part of their future.

Donated by U.S. non-profit, Harness All Possibilities (HAP) and their Blockchain Business School, their goal is to share education with all ages. Rhonda McDeigan-Eldridge, HAP’s Founder and CEO had received a copy of the book a few years ago at a Canadian conference. With the strong focus on bitcoin and blockchain in The Bahamas, it is timely to extend the knowledge to the country’s younger generation.

Global Sun Integration Management assisted with the distribution of the “B is for Bitcoin” books to a few students at Kaizen Academy and a grade 6 class at Eva Hilton Primary School, formerly known as Oakes Field Primary; as well as to a few schools in Eleuthera. CEO James Clarke said, “We are passionate about giving back to the community, especially as it relates to technology and educating the youth. We were excited to be a part of this initiative because we know the importance of educating young Bahamians about the modern advances in technology.”

Kaizen Academy stated that they are steadfast in its commitment to breaking the mold in education. These books would help familiarize the students with the blockchain dynamic of our ever-evolving world.

Meant for early education learners, the first few letters in Moore’s book include: “A is for Altcoin, bust and booms; B is for Bitcoin when moon; C is for Consensus that Blockchain brings…”

Consensus 2022 took place in Austin, Texas from June 9 to 12. The company states, “It is the only festival covering all sides of blockchain, crypto, Web 3 and the metaverse. Hosted by CoinDesk, the most influential and trusted platform for the digital world, Consensus is the world’s biggest and longest-running crypto festival.” (Source: www.coindesk.com)

The 242 BBS Developer Certification Program attendees include a few budding software developers, Rodgeno Albury and Phelton Frere-Petit including Kathryn Corkish (Cayman) along with a software engineer at air traffic control (Nassau), Jonnell Emmanuel. Blockchain Business School Facilitators are Ryan Austin, cohort mentor and founder of Bytes Bahamas, James Clarke, CEO, Global Sun Integration, Rhonda Eldridge cohort facilitator and founder of HAP and BBS, including Hamid Bhatti, BBS mentor and experience curator.

HAP is a non-profit that has made donations to many charities in The Bahamas as an ongoing community outreach initiative, as well as rendering assistance to persons affected by Hurricane Dorian, donating computers and tablets, educational seminars, and so on, at no cost to recipients.
