Bahamasair’s Sales Executive Manager, Wilfred Mullings officially presented Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute’s (BTVI) Fashion Design alumnus, Kevin Evans, with a copy of the January – March 2022 inflight magazine, Up and Away, in which he is featured.

Mr. Evans is the first Fashion alum of BTVI to grace the pages of the magazine, which features the culture of Bahamasair’s travel destinations.

The magazine was presented to Mr. Evans during a courtesy call on BTVI President, Dr. Robert W. Robertson. During the time, Mr. Evans also presented Dr. Robertson with a special gift from his collection.

Mr. Evans was born to Pastor Robert and Rose Evans and hails from Evansville in Nicholls Town, Andros. While at BTVI, he studied Electronics but did not have a passion for it. He eventually studied Cushion and Drapery Manufacturing and Fashion Design.

Using a borrowed sewing machine from one of his sisters, Mr. Evans spent many hours in his bedroom cutting and stitching one design after another. He has since established the KE Collection, where he specializes in men's fashion with combinations of styles, cuts and colours. In February past, Mr. Evans received the opportunity to have his designs featured at New York Fashion Week.
