The Bahamas Consulate General Atlanta Hosts The 38th Anniversary of Independence of The Bahamas

Atlanta - The Bahamas Consulate General Atlanta recently hosted the weekend celebration of the 38th Independence of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas with opening activities in
Atlanta (Lithonia), GA and ending with the traditional church service
in Chattanooga, TN. This year's theme: "38 Years United In Love and
Service".

The celebration began on Saturday with the Bahamian Family and Friend's Day Picnic held on the private grounds of "The Beach House at Camp Exposure" owned by Bill Allen. The afternoon was filled with traditional Bahamian food, music, games and fellowship. Many State, local and International dignitaries were in attendance to include The Minister of State for Finance in The Bahamas, The Honorable Zhivargo Laing, Honorary Consul General to Barbados Dr. Edward Layne, Consul General for Haiti Gandy Thomas, GA State Representative Billy Mitchell and City of Lithonia Councilman Ric Dodd, to name a few...
