GENERAL SITUATION: There will be little breaks from the soggy weather that has persisted during the past week as rich moisture along with deep troughing will keep an unsettled weather pattern over the Bahamas. A closed upper level low should evolve to an open-wave trough while lifting into the northeast Atlantic. A weak ridge will maintain light to moderate winds across the islands. Temperatures will continue to hand around the low 90’s with heat indices climbing into the triple digits. Residents are still being urged to remain hydrated due to scorching temperatures.

TUESDAY 21ST - Partly cloudy to cloudy, hot and humid with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Expect gusty winds and higher seas in or near heavy showers or thunderstorms. Winds: Northeast to East at 10 to 15 knots in the Northwest and Central Bahamas and Northeast to East at 15 to 20 knots in the Southeast Bahamas Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean in the Northwest and Central Bahamas and 4 to 7 feet in the Southeast Bahamas.

WEDNESDAY 22ND - Partly sunny, hot and humid with isolated showers or thunderstorms during the day. Mainly fair and warm at night with a stray shower or two possible. Expect gusty winds and higher seas in or near heavy showers or thunderstorms. Winds: Easterly at 10 to 15 knots in the Northwest and Central Bahamas and Northeast to East at 15 knots in the Southeast Bahamas Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean in the Northwest and Central Bahamas and 3 to 5 feet in light easterly swells over the ocean in the Southeast Bahamas.

THURSDAY 23RD - Partly cloudy, hot and humid with scattered showers or isolated thunderstorms. Expect gusty winds and higher seas in or near heavy showers or thunderstorms. Winds: Northeast to East at 10 knots or less Seas: 1 to 3 feet but up to 5 feet in light easterly swells over the ocean.

FRIDAY 24TH - Variably cloudy and hot with scattered showers and possible thunderstorms during the day. Mainly fair and warm with a stray few showers across the Southeast Bahamas at night. Expect gusty winds and higher seas in or near heavy showers or thunderstorms. Winds: East to Southeast at 10 knots or less in the Northwest and Central Bahamas and Northeast to East at 10 knots or less in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 1 to 3 feet but up to 5 feet in light East-Southeasterly swells.

SATURDAY 25TH - Cloudy to overcast with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly across the Northwest Bahamas but mostly sunny, hot and humid across the Central and Southeast Bahamas. Fair and warm at night across the Southeast Bahamas. Expect gusty winds and higher seas in or near heavy showers or thunderstorms. Winds: Southeast at 10 knots or less, falling light and variable at times in the Northwest Bahamas; East to Southeast at 10 knots or less in the Central and Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 3 feet or less over the ocean

SUNDAY 26TH – Partly cloudy and hot with a few showers and thunderstorms. Expect gusty wind and higher seas in or near heavy showers or thunderstorms. Winds: East to Southeast at 10 knots or less in the Northwest and Central Bahamas and Easterly at 10 knots or less in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean.

MONDAY 27TH – Partly cloudy and very warm with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms through night. Expect gusty wind and higher seas in or near heavy showers or thunderstorms. Winds: Easterly at 10 to 15 knots. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean.
