GRAND Bahama police are investigating a shooting that left two people, including a woman, in hospital.

Police said shortly after 7pm on Saturday, officers got reports of a shooting on Bayshore Road in Eight Mile Rock.

Responding officers were told that a man and a woman were in a vehicle near Sunset Village when the occupants of a dark coloured Japanese car fired shots in their direction.

The woman passenger was injured in her left shoulder, the palm of her left hand and in her head. The male driver received facial injuries.

EMS took both victims to the hospital where they are in serious, but stable condition.

A man is in custody assisting police with the investigation.
