Trust and Baha Mar in 'positive' talks about wetlands sanctuary

THE Bahamas National Trust and Baha Mar have had "very positive discussions" about a possible collaboration in the 71.4 acre wildlife and wetlands sanctuary planned for the development.

Issuing a statement about the talks, Baha Mar senior vice president for government and external affairs Robert Sands also refuted reports that the company has made a $1 million donation to the BNT.

He said: "Baha Mar has not given nor promised to give any funds to the BNT."

Mr Sands added that Baha Mar has agreed to fund the infrastructure and enhancement of the wetland sanctuary area at the resort to the tune of $1 million, "and once the wetland sanctuary is complete with boardwalks and sign ...
