BAHARI Bahamas is returning to Grand Bahama with a pop-up shop to launch its new independence collection at the Port Lucaya Marketplace.

The Bahamian brand is hosting a limited pop-up event, which started yesterday, to showcase its new line of independence T-shirts, tunics, body-con dresses, swimsuits, and shorts.
#Kerel Pinder, public relations director for Bahari, said the brand is making a comeback to Grand Bahama after Hurricane Dorian. She said the location at Port Lucaya Marketplace is ideal for both tourists and locals.
#“The local community has always supported Bahari, but this move now introduces the Bahari brand to our tourists. And this is an amazing location,” she said. “This three-day pop-up shop will allow persons to experience the new independence collection and so they can get their summer gear.”
#Ms Pinder said that Bahari’s initial brand launch was in 2014. The company opened its first retail store in Grand Bahama in November that same year.
#“They have had so many collections since then that has been so amazing,” she said.
#There are plans to reestablish a more permanent presence in Grand Bahama, which is tentatively scheduled for the end of 2021 at Port Lucaya Marketplace.
#Ms Pinder stressed that it is important for Bahamians to invest in local businesses.
#“It gives encouragement and inspiration to the younger generation. And I think Bahari is a brand that brings quality and excellence, so you will want to support and want to wear it. It is a company we have seen grow from the beginning to now,” she said.
