A 27-year-old woman who admitted acting disorderly when she was pulled over by officers must stay out of trouble for 30 days to avoid spending a week behind bars.V

Bianca Johnson was charged after she failed to comply with the requests of officers who stopped her for a traffic violation on April 8.

The court was told that when the police pulled Johnson over that day, she became angry and began to throw her hands in the air and raise her voice at the officers. The prosecution said when they warned her to stop, she refused and pulled away from the officer who had tried to arrest her. Johnson was eventually detained and taken to a nearby station where she denied all of the allegations.

However, during her arraignment before Assistant Chief Magistrate Subusola Swain, Johnson owned up to the offence.

After accepting her guilty plea, Magistrate Swain ordered the accused to be of good behaviour for 30 days. She told Johnson if she was convicted of an offence within that timeframe, she would be sentenced to seven days in prison.
