Sun Oil Limited, a Shell licensee, provides Bahamians with opportunities to win $30,000 in cash and prizes as Shell Gives Joy this holiday season.

Dozens of loyal Shell customers were randomly selected from social media entries for a chance to spin the prize wheel loaded with cash and prizes. Rufus Johnson Jr., Sun Oil's Marketing Manager explains that the holiday promotion provides customers with a chance to win prizes that will bring a feeling of joy.

Johnson says, “At Sun Oil Limited, we consistently demonstrate to our customers that we care about them.

This year, our commitment to inject $30,000 in cash and prizes into our community, will benefit customers in meaningful ways.” Johnson added, “Our cash prizes aim to directly assist winners with their rent or mortgage payments.

We will also provide thousands of dollars in gift certificates towards grocery items and utility bills payment.”

The promotion ends on January 8, 2021 and more winners will be rewarded. Johnson notes, “Our grand prize winner will receive a cheque for $3,000 and we will distribute other prizes for rental or mortgage assistance.

We are confident that our prizes will make a difference for selected winners as many Bahamians are grateful for any financial support to survive during these challenging times.”

Shell customers recently gathered at the Saunders Beach location and won electronic tablets, smartphones from Aliv, meal kits from the Showman e-Bistro, and grocery items from Lightbourn Trading Company.

Edwin Thompson, Sun Oil Sales Representative explains that customers can enter the contest by submitting their receipts via email, Whatsapp or through Facebook. Thompson says, “Customers must spend $20 in fuel to be eligible to win with Shell.

As we adhere to social distancing protocols, our process allows customers to submit receipts by email at winwithshell@sunoilbahamas.com or by WhatsApp at 242-422-0271.” He explains, “We enter all receipts into an electronic database and each week, the system randomly selects individuals eligible to win with Shell.”

Johnson concludes, “Community is at the heart of what we do to positively impact the lives of Bahamians and residents. The overwhelmingly positive response from our winners and social media audience is encouraging. We will continue to do our part to give joy in this season and always.”
