BTC continues to support a number of charities during the COVID-19 pandemic including Great Commission Ministries which operates a daily feeding program for hundreds of persons in need. Earlier in September, BTC joined efforts with the organization to provide groceries to support families just in time for back to school.

BTC CEO, Garry Sinclair said, “At BTC, we truly believe that heart is more than something we have, it’s something we share. These are tough times for many and getting ready for back to school can be quite expensive.

This partnership with Great Commission Ministries was an easy decision for us especially during these unprecedented times. We remain committed to doing all that we can to support the Bahamian community in this fight against COVID-19.”

Elder Minalee Hanchell from Great Commission Ministries said, “Thank you BTC for all you have done to assist our programs. We are very grateful that we were able to purchase lunch and groceries for students as they returned to school. This was particularly timely especially due to the level of unemployment as a result of the pandemic.” We commend you for your concern for the students and by extension, the communities of our nation.”

Since 2017, BTC has been supporting Great Commission Ministries which, in addition to managing a six day per week feeding program, also provides assistance to at-risk youth and manage a shelter program.

BTC also donated tablets to students at Thelma Gibson Primary and the Ministry of Education in Eleuthera and Abaco.
