Dr. Rhea Thurston wins Three Prestigious Awards at UWI

SM-Rhea-Outstanding.jpg Dr. Rhea Thurston received three of six prestigious awards during the University of the West Indies School of Clinical Medicine and Research Induction and Awards Ceremony for the Graduating Class of 2011. The new doctor received the Dr. Cecil M. Bethel Award for Most Outstanding Student of the Year; the Dr. Anthony Regis Award for Most Outstanding Student in Final MBBS Examinations; and the Most Outstanding Student in Psychiatry Award.  "These awards were completely unexpected," said Dr. Thurston. "And even now, I'm still trying to take it all in. The University of the West Indies is an excellent institution and to have received this recognition from the University is overwhelming. I'm so grateful that these years of hard work have finally paid off..."
