Double boost for Bahamas Pharmacy Association

THE BAHAMAS Pharmacy Association is boasting two major accomplishments - winning the bid to host a Commonwealth Pharmacy Conference and having a Bahamian elected to serve as vice president of the Commonwealth Pharmacists Association.

President of the BPA Dr Marvin Smith said the association is pleased to announce that at the 2011 CPA in Durban, South Africa, the Bahamas was selected to host the upcoming 2013 conference, outbidding more than 40 other countries.

The conference is a gathering of pharmacy leaders and professionals from more than 51 commonwealth and affiliate non-commonwealth countries.
