Pan Caribbean cuisine and entertainment at Whit Monday fair

THE Salvation Army is hosting its annual fair this Whit Monday in Grants Town.

The fair is sponsored by the organisation's Grant Town Corps, and will offer food and entertainment from six Caribbean countries.

Starting at noon, the event will feature cuisine from Barbados, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, in addition to Bahamian staples.

Entertainment at the event will include a cultural show by participating countries, a performance by the Royal Bahamas Police Force Band and a kiddie corner with face painting, cotton candy and a bouncy castle.

The fair goes until 6pm and will be held on Meadow and West Streets; the area will be closed to vehicular traffic.
