Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis said while it is unfortunate that some Bahamians are unable to return home due to a decision to shut down the borders, the measure was essential given the number of COVID-19 “hotspots” near The Bahamas. “There are hotspots outside of our territorial boundaries,” Minnis said in the House of Assembly today.
