The most talked about foodie event on the island, the 11th annual Paradise Plates, is set for this weekend at the iconic Atlantis resort on Paradise Island. Ed Fields, Atlantis’ senior vice president, public affairs, said the resort has forged a relationship over the years with Hands for Hunger that is beyond excellent, so much so that their signature event is called Paradise Plates, which he said indicates the commitment that both parties have to each other. Fields said he is excited that Hands for Hunger has chosen Atlantis once again to host this unique culinary experience. “We would have it no other way; that’s why it’s called Paradise Plates. It would be out of place anywhere else,” Fields said. “The event keeps getting bigger and better and is generally sold out and we expect that trend will continue.” Fields also expressed how important it was for Atlantis to play a role in helping to eliminate hunger and reduce food waste.
