Gearing up for its 50th anniversary Wendy’s is exemplifying one of its core values, “Give Something Back”.  Wendy's provided all of their employees in Nassau and Freeport with back to school kits to help their loved ones kick start the 2019/2020 school year. Employees at Wendy’s 12 locations, Warehouse and Head Office received B.T.S. kits which included branded lunch bags, water bottles, rulers, notebooks, pens and pencils.

Founded in 1969, Wendy’s formed the company on five core principles. These principles include Quality is Our Recipe, Do the Right Thing, Treat People with Respect, Give Something Back and Profit Means Growth. Leading up to the anniversary in November and in 2020, customers can expect to see more of these principles as the company celebrates.

On top of the annual donations, The Bright Minds, Bright Future Scholarship, and Mission Educate Bahamas, Wendy’s Bahamas also participated in a number of community events. These included Fox Hill Day, Hooping by The Park Basketball Championship Game, and a visit to Sandilands Geriatric Hospital.

Wendy’s hosts half time show with popular local host Demetrius Smith. During half time Wendy’s held its first burger eating and three point shoot-out contests and awarded the winning teams with prizes, and provided giveaways for spectators at the Hooping by The Park Basketball Championship Game. Two weeks later the Wendy’s Seagrapes team visited Sandilands Geriatric Hospital to provide breakfast, and interact with the seniors on the McClennan Ward.

In addition to these events there will be donations to various organizations, and customers can expect to enjoy unbelievable specials, spectacular giveaways, and participate in customer appreciation day.
