Letter: We should cherish 'right to vote'

EDITOR, The Tribune. As our country nears election, I think of how far we have come with our "Right to vote". Maybe not in my time but many others can still remember not having this honour. Now that we have it, I pray that we cherish and respect it. The idea that because we do not "see" our representatives walking through our streets or visiting our houses, which then brings one to say "we ain't voting" for he/she, is a disgrace. Members of Parliament are elected to represent us in the House of Assembly, they work for our country not our constituency.
