Bahamian professional bodybuilder Jameil Hamilton is in Tampa, Florida, to take part in the 2019 International Federation of BodyBuilding & Fitness (IFBB) Professional League Yamamoto Nutrition Cup. The competition, which will be held at the Grand Hyatt, will get underway today and will wrap up on Sunday.

Hamilton will be participating in men’s bodybuilding in the super heavyweight category alongside 20 other competitors. He will be up against a tough field that includes Dexter Johnson, a former Mr. Olympia.

Hamilton has been involved in the sport since 2013, initially competing as a light heavyweight. He won the coveted Mr. Bahamas title in 2016. In 2017, the bodybuilder earned his professional card, but this is his first year competing as a professional. He is coached by Bahamian legendary bodybuilder Joel Stubbs who is now the president of the Bahamas Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (BBFF).
