The owner of an organic material dumpsite off Fire Trail Road yesterday expressed concerns of the misuse of the site by members of the general public who often use the area as a garbage dump.

A video of the site was posted on social media showing household appliances and other items accumulated in the area.

Tony Miller, owner of TM Trucking and the dumpsite, told The Nassau Guardian, “I have a hell of a time trying to control it.

“When the city dump closes, I get swamped with people coming in the back there.

“There are people who bring a lot of good stuff that we can use and even during the night people come with stuff that I can’t use, so control is a problem.
