Team Bahamas had to settle for sixth place, after falling to Honduras 2-0 in the fifth-place game, at the 2019 Davis Cup Americas Zone Group III Tournament at the Costa Rica Country Club in Escazu, San Jose, Costa Rica, on Saturday.

In that playoff matchup, The Bahamas dropped both of its singles matches. In the first match, 17-year-old Donte Armbrister fell to Gabriel Mendoza in straight sets, 6-3 and 6-1, and in the second singles match, Bahamian Justin Lunn put up a fight but Keny Turcios wore him down. Turcios won the first set, 7-5. Lunn came back to easily win the second set, 6-1, but Turcios came back in the third and decisive set with vengeance. He won that set 6-0 as Honduras secured fifth place.
