General Situation: Layered troughing across/near the SE Bahamas shifts eastward through Friday as a cold front becomes stationary around North/Central Florida area. Mid -level troughing develops near the NW Bahamas and keeps unsettled weather around from Saturday through Sunday. On Tuesday through Wednesday, the trough shifts into the Central Bahamas with lingering unsettled weather while building high pressure system produces moderate to fresh breezes over the area.

Friday 14th – Partly cloudy to cloudy, humid and hot with scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm mainly across the NW Bahamas during the daytime through the night time. Maximum temperature 90°F and a minimum temperature 77°F. Small craft should continue to exercise caution across the SE Bahamas. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas, falling light and variable at times and E to SE at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas, falling to 1 to 3 feet at times and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas.

Saturday 15th – Variably cloudy, humid and hot with scattered shower and isolated thunderstorms mainly across the NW and Central Bahamas during the daytime through nightfall. Maximum temperature 90°F and a minimum temperature 79°F. Small craft should exercise caution in the Central and SE Bahamas. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas, falling light and variable at times and E to SE at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots at times later. Seas 2 to 4 feet over the ocean in the NW Bahamas, falling 1 to 3 feet at times and 4 to 6 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas, falling to 2 to 4 feet at times.

Sunday 16th – Variably cloudy, humid and hot with few scattered showers or a possible isolated thunderstorm during the daytime. Generally clearing across the NW Bahamas through nightfall but remaining partly cloudy to cloudy with few isolated showers likely later. Maximum temperature 89°F and a minimum temperature 79°F. Small craft continues across the Central and SE Bahamas. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas and E to SE at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas.

Monday 17th – Variably cloudy, humid and hot with some scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms during the daytime through nightfall. Maximum temperature 90°F and a minimum temperature 79°F. Small craft continues to exercise caution overall areas. Winds SE’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the NW Bahamas, decreasing to 10 to15 knots at times and E to SE at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 4 to 6 feet overall areas, falling to 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas later.

Tuesday 18th – Variably cloudy, humid and hot with scattered showers, some becoming heavy to severe at times across the NW and Central Bahamas during the daytime through nightfall. Maximum temperature 90°F and a minimum temperature 80°F. Small craft continues to exercise caution overall areas. Winds SSE to SSW at 15 to 20 knots with higher gusts in the NW Bahamas and E to SE at 15 to 20 knots with higher gusts in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 4 to 6 feet overall areas but higher in gusts.

Wednesday 19th – Variably cloudy, humid and hot with scattered showers and thunderstorms, some becoming heavy to sever at times across the NW and Central Bahamas during the daytime through nightfall. Maximum temperature 91°F and a minimum temperature 80°F. Small craft should exercise caution in the Central and SE Bahamas. Winds SSE to SSW at 12 to 18 knots in the NW Bahamas, falling light and variable at times and E to SE at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas, falling decreasing to 10 knots or less at times. Seas 3 to 5 feet across the NW Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas, falling 1 to 3 feet at times.

Beachgoers and mariners should be vigilant due to rough surf and the high risk of dangerous rip currents mainly along the north and east coast beaches during stated advisories. Mariners should exercise caution for gusty winds and higher seas during heavy showers or thunderstorms, along with localized waterspout activity. Localized flooding during heavy downpours and prolong rainfall expected across low lying and floodprone areas of the Bahamas.
