AFTER an opening round win, Mark Knowles and Michal Mertinak are scheduled to face a pair of familiar foes in the second round of the ATP Masters 1000 Tour in Rome, Italy.

Knowles reunited with Mertinak after a brief hiatus in the last tour event to advance to round two by defeating the Spanish team of Marc Lopez and David Marrero 6-3, 6-4.

Knowles and Mertinak will face the top-ranked Bryan brothers, Mike and Bob, in round two after the top seeds received a bye.
