During the Christmas season, Mr. Ship It showed love and brought joy and cheer those who truly need it.

This Christmas was no different for the Management and Staff at Mr. Ship It. The business partnered with five local charitable organizations to share Christmas joy throughout The Bahamas.

Mr. Ship It chose two organizations in Nassau, Twilight Home for The Elderly in Nassau Village and the Bilney Lane Children’s Home, Blessed Sacrament Church in Eleuthera, the Grand Bahama Children’s Home in Freeport, and the Exuma School for Exceptional Learners in Exuma.

“This year, we wanted to extend our level of giving by involving each of our store locations. We want to thank all clients who have made this possible.

It is our hope to continue to do our part in nation building via charitable efforts,” said Mr. Leo Lightbourne, President of Mr Ship It.

Mr. Ship It kicked off its season of giving on the islands with two of its newest locations - Central Exuma and Freeport, Grand Bahama.

In Exuma, seven students of the Exuma School for Exceptional Learners were presented with Christmas gifts.

Ms. Jasmin Nixon, School Principal, was especially excited to receive the monetary donation, as it would assist with sending students to the 2019 Bahamas Special Olympics.

In Grand Bahama, Mr. Ship It’s staff visited the Grand Bahama Children’s Home and gave gifts to the wonderful children residing there. Mrs. Sheila Johnson-Smith, Executive Director of Grand Bahama Children’s Home said, “The Grand Bahama Children’s Home, is so grateful to Mr. Ship It, it’s management and staff for the wonderful donation to our Home.

Not only did Mr. Ship It hear our cry to donate to the Children’s Christmas Wish List but they also heard how difficult it is to keep this Home operational for the abandoned, neglected, physically and sexually abused children, especially in the Northern Bahamas.”

On the island of Eleuthera, gifts were given to the members of Blessed Sacrament Church in Lower Bogue. And last but certainly not least, in Nassau, gifts were given to the residents of the Twilight Home for The Elderly in Pinewood and preteens at the Bilney Lane Children’s Home. The Bilney Lane Children’s Home allowed Mr. Ship It to give the home’s lobby a new look, with a new Christmas tree & decorations.
