Marketing and branding guru Eldri Ferguson-Mackey, one of the top female executives in The Bahamas, has joined Diane Phillips & Associates as partner, the firm announced today.
“We are delighted to announce that a woman I have known for years as the powerhouse of branding and marketing has joined Diane Phillips & Associates as partner,” said the firm’s founder Diane Phillips.

Ferguson-Mackey, who created many of the terms and expressions that Bahamians identify with the telecommunications industry, began her career as a research intern with the Pan American Health Organization.
She then joined NASA working in the space exploration program before being sought by a prestigious health-related firm in Virginia.
When she returned to her native home in The Bahamas, she entered what is largely a male-dominated corporate world, climbing each rung of the ladder by digging in her heels, creating plans, launching products and promotions, engaging innovation, handling multi-million portfolios and what she calls “eventually changing conversations.”
She had numerous occasions to work with DP&A over the years.

I have to confess I am also excited to be working, for the first time in my life, with a team of accomplished women,” said Ferguson-Mackey, the third partner along with Alexavia Dorsett and Phillips, a former journalist and magazine editor.
Founded more than 25 years ago, the firm represents environmental and social causes, real estate firms, developers, banks and the business interests in addition to handling reputational client matters. Phillips has received numerous awards, including the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers’ Confederation Chairman’s Award, a Paul Harris Fellow Award and Kingdor National Foundation Award. Among awards earned by the firm are the first Media Award presented by The Salvation Army, the Zonta Club of the southeastern US and Caribbean award for newsletters and communications and two Addys.
