On the program ‘Sunday Morning’ on CBS a few weeks ago, they featured the story of a truly remarkable man and his rags to riches story. The man’s name is Eli Tahari. Eli was born in Israel, and was placed in an orphanage when he was young. When he became of age for mandatory conscription in Israel, he joined the army for a period of time. When he finished his National Service in The Israeli Army he emigrated to The U.S. and landed in New York, like so many others, with very little money. In those early days in New York, Eli actually slept on a park bench in Central Park....that’s how poor he was!
