AML Foods Limited announced the completion of a 5-year remodeling project at 11 Domino’s retail outlets throughout The Bahamas.

The project began in 2013 with the goal of modernizing and improving the overall operations and customer experience in stores.

As the local franchise holder, AML Foods invested $1.645 million on the upgrades, transforming each location into the ‘pizza theatre’ style design seen in Domino’s locations around the world.

Today, all outlets in New Providence and in Grand Bahama now feature an open kitchen design, where patrons can view the pizza making process from start to finish.

The new interior design also allows for greater functionality during the food preparation process.

Renea Bastian, Vice President of Marketing & Communications at AML Foods Limited said the capital investment allows Domino’s team members to operate in a more efficient workspace.

“We wanted to ensure that our team works in an environment where they can be efficient and deliver the level of service that we expect everyday.

Improving the layout in stores also allows us to provide a better customer experience,” Bastian explained.

“Over the five-year period, our operations team worked closely with the Domino’s international team to completely transform the physical appearance at all outlets in the country.”

She continued, “From a corporate standpoint, we believe that the investment will be beneficial today and into the future.

Beyond the upgrades, we will continue to provide staff with the training and tools needed to meet the growing demands in the industry.”

Domino’s started its operations in The Bahamas more than 25 years ago and currently operates with a team of 200 employees.

The franchise has a total of 11 locations throughout the Bahamas including 9 on New Providence (South Beach, Blue Hill, Cable Beach, Carmichael, Coral Harbour, Golden Gates, Harbour Bay, Marathon and Sea Grapes) and two on Grand Bahama Island (Port Lucaya and RND Plaza).

In addition to retail stores, the company continues to be a leader online with digital orders on www.dominos242.com accounting for 25% of the local franchise’s annual business sales. The team at Domino’s Bahamas is seeking to grow traffic on the website by 40% over the next two years.
