General Situation: A ridge of high pressure across the Bahamas will gradually slide eastwards through Tuesday with pleasant weather across the area. A cold front will move into the Bahamas on Wednesday while generating a few showers and possible thunderstorms along its boundary. The front will continue to push into the Central and Southeast Bahamas while weakening through Thursday with high pressure building across the islands in wake of the front into the weekend. Another front will move into the Bahamas late Sunday into Monday followed by building strong high pressure.

Tuesday 4th – Partly sunny, warm and a bit breezy mainly in the Southeast Bahamas with the chance of isolated showers during the day. Partly cloudy with a few scattered showers at night. Maximum temperature 86°F and minimum temperature 73°F. Winds SE to S at 10 to 15 knots in the NW and Central Bahamas and E to SE at 15 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet over the ocean in the NW and Central Bahamas and 3 to 5 feet in the SE Bahamas.

Wednesday 5th – Partly cloudy with scattered showers and the chance of a few isolated thunderstorms mainly along the front turning partly cloudy and breezy with a few lingering showers behind the front. Maximum temperature 85°F and minimum temperature 68°F. Small craft operators should exercise caution in the NW Bahamas. Winds SW to W at 15 knots in the NW Bahamas ahead of the front becoming NW to N at 15 to 20 knots and gusty behind the front and SE to S at 10 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 3 to 5 feet over the ocean in the NW Bahamas ahead of the front building 4 to 7 feet behind the front and 1 to 3 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas.

Thursday 6th – Partly sunny and mild during the day. Mainly fair and cool at night. Maximum temperature 76°F and minimum temperature 64°F. Winds NE at 15 knots in the NW Bahamas and NE to E at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 3 to 5 feet over the ocean but up to 7 feet in northeasterly swells in the NW Bahamas and 4 to 7 feet in northeasterly swells in the Central and SE Bahamas.

Friday 7th – Partly sunny and breezy with a few passing showers possible during the day. Mainly fair and breezy at night with a passing shower or two possible. Maximum temperature 80°F and minimum temperature 66°F. Small craft operators should exercise caution. Winds NE to E at 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 7 feet over the ocean.

Saturday 8th – Partly sunny and breezy isolated showers possible during the day. Mainly fair with a passing shower or two possible at night. Maximum temperature 85° and minimum temperature 72°F. Small craft operators should exercise caution. Winds NE to E at 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 67 feet over the ocean.

Sunday 2nd – Variably cloudy and warm with a few isolated showers possible during the day. Partly cloudy with scattered showers and a possible thunderstorm or two mainly across the Northwest Bahamas at night. Maximum temperature 86°F and minimum temperature 71°F. A small craft advisory will be in effect in the NW Bahamas and a small craft caution will be in effect in the Central and SE Bahamas. Winds S to SW at 15 to 25 knots in the NW Bahamas and SE at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 5 to 8 feet over the ocean in the NW Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas.

Beachgoers and mariners should exercise caution due to rough surf and the high risk of rip currents along the northern and eastern shorelines during stated advisories.
