The Ministry of Social Services and Urban Development's Department of Gender and Family Affairs, in collaboration with the National Women's Advisory Council, held a Women's Empowerment Summit and Expo at the National Training Agency Friday, November 30.

Held under the theme, "Strengthening Partnerships for the Empowerment of Women" the summit was addressed by the Hon. Frankie Campbell, Minister of Social Services and Urban Development, and Mrs. Patricia Minnis, the wife of the Prime Minister -- and was attended by female senators, customs officers, immigration officers, police officers and representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGO's).
