Nassau, Bahamas - The
Progressive Young Liberals would like for the Minister of National
Security Tommy Turnquest to explain to the Bahamian people exactly what
constitutes failure in his mind when it comes to crime.

The
Minister in this term has touted about buying the Police new equipment
and providing CCTV and ankle bracelets however it would seem that none
of those initiatives has really put a dent in crime.  While we do think
that the Police should have the resources they need we also think that
the government has only paid lip service to really combating crime from
its root.  This is the same Minister that placed blame at the feet of
