Cabinet Ministers given FAO?s assessment of the National School Feeding Programme

Carlisle Pemberton, Consultant, presented the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations assessment findings of The Bahamas’ National School Feeding Programme at Luciano’s of Chicago, Monday, March 26, 2018.

The programme is coordinated by the Ministries of Education and Social Services.

It is for the benefit of families who have insufficient or no income to provide nutritional lunch for school aged children, in order that while at school the children can access a well-balanced lunch.

Mr. Pemberton presented findings as well as solutions to current problems within the programme to the Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources the Hon. Renward Wells; Minister of Health Dr. the Hon. Duane Sands; Minister of Education the Hon. Jeffrey Lloyd; the Minister of National Security the Hon. Marvin Dames and senior government officials.
