BOB's Amani Stuart wins JA New Providence's Annual Speech Competition 2018

Amani Stuart, president of Bank of The Bahamas’ SPARK INNOVATION JA Company recently won Junior Achievement New Providence’s 2018 Annual Speech Competition. Amani beat out more than 100 entrants and twelve finalists to win the competition.

Over the past three weeks the BOB Junior Achievement team SPARK INNOVATION, participated in the annual JA Speech Competition, managed by the Bahamas Division of Toastmasters’ International. Four members of the BOB SPARK INNOVATION JA Company made it to the semifinal rounds, including Arianna Huie-Jennings, Chazia Curtis, Breonna Jones and Amani Stuart. Out of this group, the Club’s President, AMANI STUART made it to the finals where she spoke on the topic “Cultivating Great Minds”

After an intense competition and besting 12 competitors, AMANI STUART, BOB SPARK INNOVATION walked away with the victory. She beat out Deloitte Elite who placed second and Bahamas First Prime who placed third. She will now move on to compete in the National JA Speech Competition and will attend the Junior Achievement World Congress in Canada in August of this year.

Renee Davis, Managing Director, Bank of The Bahamas congratulated Amani and her teammates on their outstanding performances in the Speech Competition.

“We are so proud of these talented, enthusiastic young people. Bank of The Bahamas joined the Junior Achievers Program to help in the development of young persons in our country. Our goal is to ensure that every single member of our JA Company leaves with more knowledge and more confidence,” Mrs. Davis said.
