Long Island MP refutes charity worker's claims

Member of Parliament for Long Island, Larry Cartwright, told The Nassau Guardian yesterday that the American charity worker who sparked massive controversy this week with her claims that the island is “forgotten,” has made “a mountain out of a mole hill.”
Cartwright said he was in the settlement of Dunmore — where Mardie Caldwell claims the people have no fresh drinking water and no access to health care — last month and received no serious complaints from the residents about anything.
