Committed to encouraging a philosophy of giving back within the company. Style Office Solutions Co-owner and Managing Director and Designer Manager, Monique Graham set out to make the Holidays a fun one for friends, while giving back to the Grand Bahama Children’s home in a new fun way.

“I love decorating and the Christmas holidays is always my favorite,” said Graham. “I know from my visits and meetings to the home, they are always in need of funds to help waylay the costs of food, laundry, bills, like any other home. So, I thought what could it do? Decorating came to mind and it all just blew up from there.”

Opening her own home to over 50 women, who paid to learn how to decorate stem-ware Graham raised over three thousand four hundred dollars for the non-profit charity. Assisted by the “Friends of the GBCH” committee, Graham organized her event via Facebook and sold out for the fundraiser very quickly.

“Fundraisers can sometimes be a bit flat” said one guest. “This was not a sit-down dinner and make conversation with people you don’t know too well, but it was fun night with my girlfriends, enjoying some nice nibbles, wine and then making a nice gift too. Best part is proceeds all helped the home.”

The Graham family have been long time supporters of the home, “With three children of our own we know the costs and struggles of raising children,” she noted. “My husband and I have supported annual fundraisers and toy drives, but a few years ago I got roped into decorating for an event, and I’ve been hooked ever since.”

Graham also gave thanks to local companies who supported her event, and helped her raise even more funds. These included; Kelly's Freeport, Bristol Cellars, UNEXSO, Shoe Village, Keen i Media, Lucaya Nursery, Cappuccinos and Paint Fair.

Graham, whose design firm works on transforming and improving work environments, launched in both Freeport and Nassau last year. Style Office Solutions was the lead sponsor for the fundraiser event along with local participating restaurants and wine distributors.

The Graham’s will also be opening its Nassau based showroom in February due to their success and rapid growth. SOS can be reached at (242) 300-4228/557-2307 or via email at info@sosfurnishinganddesign.com or via their Facebook page.
