"The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® series is the world’s largest and most successful education and fundraising event for breast cancer ever created...Komen focuses on supporting those with the fewest resources: uninsured, underinsured and low-income women and men unable to access care."

This year BahamasLocal.com returned as a Corporate Sponsor (Gold) for this event among other corporate companies. The two day events (Race for the Cure) and (Marathon Bahamas) was held this past weekend, where thousands of participants ran and walked to show their support either as a survivor or in memory of departed loved one.

"Komen Bahamas (seeks to) celebrate survivorship, remember those who have lost their fight to the disease and raise awareness about a health issue that affects thousands of women and men in The Bahamas. BahamasLocal.com is particularly committed to our connection with this organization as one of our team members, more specifically our Sales and Marketing Director, Mr. Francis Taylor whose mother is a cancer survivor. Our support to the race not only provides encouragement to those that have survived or dealt with a loss due to breast cancer, but to personally show our care to one of our own.
