Candy Land Tales and Treats at CAF?​ ​MADELEINE

Café Madeleine, the French patisserie at Baha Mar is proud to announce a book reading by nine-year-old Bahamian author, Leila O’Brien. Leila’s book, Candy Land is in Trouble! is about a wonderful place that is turned upside down by an unexpected visitor and brings the citizens of Candy Land together on a quest to save the home they love so dearly. The story, written when she was eight years old, earned Leila a runner-up award in the Commonwealth Young Writers Competition in 2016 in the 7-9 age category. She is also the first place recipient of the Commonwealth Young Writers Competition in 2017 in the 7-9 age category for poetry. Leila is a Principal’s Honor Roll student at Genesis Academy. The author will be available to sign copies of Candy Land is in Trouble! after the reading.
