Caribbean Youth Debate Disaster Management and Mitigation at CDM10

At the 10th Caribbean Conference on Disaster Management, young people took front and centre stage with the CDM10 Youth Programme. On Thursday, December 7, 2017 young people from the 18 Participating States engaged in insightful debate on: “The Role of Adolescents in Disaster Mitigation.”

The debate was followed by a Youth Cultural/Performing Arts Explosion. The Bahamas is the host of the 10th Caribbean Conference on Comprehensive Disaster Management (CDM), December 4-9, 2017 at Melia Nassau Beach resort.

The conference is facilitated by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA) and the involvement of 18-Participating States: Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Kitts & Nevis, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos Islands and the Virgin Islands.
