Bahamas First General Insurance Company will continue its multi-year sponsorship of The Saxons Superstars Junkanoo group, a partnership formed several years ago.

Group President and CEO for the leading insurer, Patrick Ward, shared, “Our head offices are literally adjacent to the home of the Saxons Superstars. We believe in investing in the local community and in supporting Bahamian culture. While the art of Junkanoo hones the creativity and innovation of its participants, it also involves fine tuning leadership and teamwork competencies among other valuable disciplines.”

The company pledged to expand its partnership with the Saxons organization and collaborate on other community based initiatives and programmes. Of special interest is a Junkanoo camp proposed to introduce young people to the world of Junkanoo and ensure the continuity and future growth of this valuable component of Bahamian culture.
