Man shot during armed robbery

A man received minor injuries when he was shot during an armed robbery attempt on Friday.
According to police, the shooting victim was at Mount Royal Avenue around 8:10 p.m. when three men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, surrounded him and demanded cash.
The gunman shot the man in the shoulder when he refused. The culprits fled in an unknown direction.
The man was taken to hospital, where he was treated and discharged.
Police also made two firearms arrests on Friday. Officers from the Central Intelligence Unit found two magazines containing ammunition in bushes off Cotton Street, Pinewood Gardens around 4:50 p.m.
