Hundreds trek towards Awards: Students pursue Gold, Silver and Bronze under G.O.L.D. Initiative

Nassau, Bahamas - Fresh off a Bronze qualifying expedition in North Eleuthera, 150
students - representing a variety of schools and backgrounds - are well
on their way to receiving their first Governor General's Youth Award
(GGYA).

With 16 adult supervisors in tow, participants from C R Walker, C
C Sweeting, Government High, St John's and Queen's College spent two
days and one night away from home on March 12 and 13. It was the
programme's fourth expedition this year.

Last year the government announced it would partner with the GGYA
programme through the G.O.L.D. Initiative. G.O.L.D...
