GENERAL SITUATION: A stationary front along with a low pressure system will meander north and southward across the Florida Peninsula, while rich tropical moisture interacts with low to mid level troughing across the NW and Central Bahamas. Low pressure system and the stationary front will eventually dissipate on Monday as a strong high pressure ridge over the Western Atlantic waters builds across the Southeastern United States and the Bahamas through Wednesday.

Friday 09th
– Partly cloudy to cloudy, hot and humid with scattered showers or widely scattered thunderstorms mainly across the NW Bahamas through nightfall. Maximum temperature 91°F and minimum temperature 80°F. Winds S to SW at 15 to 20 knots at first in the NW Bahamas, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots later in the morning; E to SE at 12 to 18 knots at first in the Central and SE Bahamas, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots later int the morning. Seas 4 to 6 feet at first in the NW Bahamas, decreasing to 2 to 4 feet later and 3 to 5 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas, decreasing to 2 to 4 feet later.

Saturday 10th
– Partly cloudy to cloudy, hot and humid with few scattered showers or isolated thunderstorms across the Bahamas through nightfall. Maximum temperature 91°F and minimum temperature 79°F. Small craft should exercise caution across the Extreme NW Bahamas and in the SE Bahamas early and late. Winds S to SW at 15 to 20 knots early in the NW Bahamas, backing SE to E at 10 to 15 knots later; E to SE at 15 to 20 knots early and late in the SE Bahamas but remaining E to SE at 10 to 15 knots elsewhere. Seas 4 to 6 feet early in the NW Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet early and late in the SE Bahamas with seas running 2 to 4 feet elsewhere.

Sunday 11th – Partly to mostly sunny, hot and humid with few scattered showers or isolated thunderstorms through nightfall. Maximum temperature 91F and minimum temperature 80F. Small craft caution continues for the SE Bahamas. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas; E to SE at 12 to 18 knots in the Central a Bahamas; E’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas; 3 to 5 feet in the Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas.

Monday 12th – Mix of sun and clouds, hot and humid with few isolated showers or a possible isolated thunderstorm during the day. Fair and mild at night. Maximum temperature 89ºF and minimum temperature 81ºF. Small craft should exercise caution in the Central and SE Bahamas. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots, increasing to 12 to 18 knots later in the NW Bahamas and E’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet, building to 3 to 5 feet in the NW Bahamas and 4 to 7 feet in the Central and the SE Bahamas.

Tuesday 13th – Partly cloudy to cloudy, hot and humid with few scattered showers or an isolated thunderstorm possible through nightfall. Maximum temperature 88ºF and minimum temperature 77ºF. Small craft should exercise caution in the Central and SE Bahamas. Winds E to SE at 12 to 18 knots in the NW Bahamas and E’ly at 15 to 20 knots with stronger gusts in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 3 to 5 feet in the NW Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas.

Wednesday 14th – Mostly Cloudy to occasionally overcast with some widely scattered showers or an isolated thunderstorm across the Bahamas through night time. Maximum temperature 88ºF and minimum temperature 80ºF. Small craft should exercise caution across the Central and SE Bahamas through early morning. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots with higher gusts in the NW Bahamas and E to SE at 15 to 20 knots at first, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots with higher gusts later. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas, decreasing to 2 to 4 feet later.

Beachgoers and Mariners should exercise extreme caution due to the high risk of rip currents and rough surf, especially along the northern and eastern shorelines during stated advisories. Winds and seas will be higher in heavy showers and thunderstorms.
