Encouraging elders to stay active, and supporting the health and wellness of seniors, Ports International and Drive Medical donated wheelchairs for the SRC Push-a-thon event to be held on Saturday, 29th April, 2017.

The Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre will host its 6th Annual Geriatric Push-a-thon, under the theme “Stay Active and Inspire Healthy Aging”.

The Push-a-thon involves seniors and staff from the Geriatric Hospital, as well as members of the general public.

The annual event was started by Dr. Indira Grimes as a way of inspiring mobility of those 60 years and older through a fun activity that will inspire increased physical activity all year round.

Many families of older persons, as well as the seniors themselves do not realize that even for the aged, physical activity is vital to sustaining a long quality life.

As a corporate sponsor and long standing specialist in home healthcare supplies, Ports International and Drive Medical exists to enhance the quality of life for patients and their families.

Caring for customers, and the community, offering effective solutions to assist with mobility and functional independence, Ports International’s Home Health Retail Store is located on #187 Shirley Street tel 377-1774.
