In preparing for the upcoming IAAF/BTC World Relays Bahamas 2017, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) recently held a workshop for the Relays’ sponsors to insure that they are too involved in the process leading up to the event. The Relays are set to take place April 22 and April 23.

“The Local Organizing Committee cannot express the continued gratitude to the awesome slate of corporate sponsors for the IAAF/BTC World Relays”, said Sherrell Storr, Director of Sponsorship, IAAF World Relays Bahamas 2017.

“The sponsors were enlightened on the marketing, security, and other aspects of the event. We organized their participation in a detailed walk through of the stadium to know the set up for the event, processes and understand the flow for VVIP, VIP, Gold, Silver, Bronze and other guests.”

Because of the workshop, the sponsors are now equipped with the wherewithal to contribute to the overall success of the event. They were taught the function of the event’s Market Place which will be open at 3:30 pm each day of the event. This area will set the stage for our visitors to learn all about our culture and enjoy things that are indigenous to the Islands of The Bahamas.

“The sponsors will be set up for activities and give-a- ways for the 30,000 plus attendees over the two days,” Storr continued. “There will be tons of entertainment, music, food and drinks sampling all with a Bahamian Cultural flare to be enjoyed by all.

“During the walk-about the sponsors were able to provide more feedback and advice to improve the processes of the event which ensures an unforgettable experience of everyone that will attend.”
