GENERAL SITUATION: A weak cold front will move across the NW Bahamas today and eventually dissipate through early Friday. Another cold front with a low pressure system will move across the NW Bahamas early Friday before lifting northward and becoming stationary north of the area early Sunday. Another cold front will enter the NW Bahamas early Tuesday and it will move through the Central Bahamas on Wednesday morning.

Friday 10th – Mostly sunny and warm during the day and fair and mild at night. Maximum temperature 82F and minimum temperature 64°F. Small craft caution in the SE Bahamas. Winds E’ly at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas, falling light and variable at times and NE to E at 15 to 20 knots at first, falling to 15 knots or less later in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas, falling to 5 feet or less later.

Saturday 11th – Partly sunny and warm during the day and mainly fair and mild at night. Fair and a bit breezy at night. Maximum temperature 82°F and minimum temperature 64°F. Winds NE to E at 10 to 15 knots at first, falling light and variable at times and turning NE to E at 12 to 18 knots late. Seas 2 to 4 feet early but building to 3 to 5 feet late with possible caution conditions in the NW and SE Bahamas.

Sunday 12th – Partly cloudy and warm with few scattered showers mainly in the NW Bahamas through night time. Maximum temperature 83°F and minimum temperature 68°F. Small craft caution for the entire Bahamas, dropping below caution in the NW and Central Bahamas by early afternoon. Winds E to SE veering SE to S at 15 to 20 knots, decreasing to 10 to 15 knots by afternoon in the NW Bahamas and E to SE at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas, decreasing to 15 knots or less in the afternoon in the Central Bahamas. Seas 4 to 6 feet over all areas early, then 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas and 5 feet or less in the Central Bahamas by early afternoon.

Monday 13th – Partly cloudy to cloudy and windy with few scattered showers around the NW and SE Bahamas during the day through night time. Maximum temperature 83F and minimum temperature 68F. Winds SE to S at 10 to 15 knots, falling light and variable at times. Seas 2 to 4 feet over the ocean for all areas.

Tuesday 14th – Partly to mostly cloudy with few scattered showers or possible isolated thunderstorms during the day through night time. Maximum temperature 82F and minimum temperature 67F. Small craft caution to come into effect by early afternoon in the NW Bahamas. Winds light and variable at first over the Bahamas, shifting W to NW at 15 to 20 knots in the NW Bahamas by early afternoon and variable at 10 knots or less elsewhere. Seas 1 to 3 feet over all areas except for 4 to 7 feet in the NW Bahamas by early afternoon.

Wednesday15th – Partly to mostly cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across the Central and SE Bahamas through night time. Maximum temperature 79°F and minimum temperature 66°F. Small craft caution for the entire Bahamas. Winds NW to N at 15 to 20 knots in the NW Bahamas, decreasing below 15 knots later and NE to E at 15 to 20 knots in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 4 to 7 feet over all areas but decreasing to 3 to 5 feet in the NW Bahamas late.

Beachgoers and mariners should exercise extreme caution due to the high risk of rip currents and rough surf, especially along the northern and eastern shorelines during stated advisories. Winds and seas will be higher in heavy showers and thunderstorms.
