GENERAL SITUATION: A broad low pressure centered off the eastern coast of Central Florida will drag a cold front and a trough across the Bahamas as it moves northeastward tonight through Friday. High pressure system over the Eastern United States will build across the Bahamas this weekend as another weak cold front dissipates before it goes all the way through the Bahamas on Sunday. High pressure builds across the Bahamas again through Wednesday.

Friday 24th – Partly cloudy to cloudy with some scattered showers or isolated thunderstorms in the vicinity of the trough and cold front through tonight. Maximum temperature 84F and minimum temperature 68°F. Small craft caution for the Central and SE Bahamas. Winds SW to W at 05 to 10 knots at first but veering W to NW at 10 to 15 knots in the NW Bahamas and SW to W at 15 to 20 knots with higher gusts in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas.

Saturday 25th – Mostly sunny and mild with few lingering clouds or showers in the SE Bahamas. Fair and mild at night. Maximum temperature 84°F and minimum temperature 68°F. Winds W to NW veering NNW to NNE at 05 to 10 knots for all areas, falling light and variable at times. Seas 1 to 3 feet over the ocean for all areas.

Sunday 26th – Partly to mostly sunny and warm with the chance of few isolated showers. Fair and mild at night. Maximum temperature 81°F and minimum temperature 68°F. Winds N to NE at 10 knots or less, veering NE to E at 15 to 20 knots later over all areas. Seas 3 feet or less but building 4 to 6 feet later over the ocean for all areas.

Monday 27th – Partly to mostly sunny, breezy and warm with the chance of few passing showers. Partly cloudy and breezy with isolated showers at night. Maximum temperature 85F and minimum temperature 70F. Small craft advisory for the entire Bahamas. Winds NE to E at 15 to 25 knots across the entire Bahamas veering more E to SE at 15 to 25 knots later. Seas 5 to 8 feet across the entire Bahamas.

Tuesday 28th – Mostly sunny and breezy during the day and fair and mild at night. Max temperature 86F and minimum temperature 71F. Winds N to NE veering E to SE at 12 to 18 knots across the NW Bahamas and E’ly at 15 to 20 knots with higher gusts in the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 3 to 5 feet across the NW Bahamas and 4 to 7 feet over the Central and SE Bahamas.

Wednesday 29th – Mostly sunny and warm continuing breezy in the Central and SE Bahamas. Fair and mild at night but breezy in Central and SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 84°F and minimum temperature 72°F. Small craft caution for the SE Bahamas. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots over the NW and Central Bahamas and E’ly at 15 to 20 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet over the NW and Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet over the SE Bahamas.

Beachgoers and mariners should exercise extreme caution due to the high risk of rip currents and rough surf, especially along the northern and eastern shorelines during stated advisories. Winds and seas will be higher in heavy showers and thunderstorms.
