CIBC FirstCaribbean’s Private Wealth Management Centre has been named “Best Wealth Management Provider” in the Bahamas in the 2016 World Finance Wealth Management Awards.

Each year, the prestigious awards scheme celebrates the “brilliance and innovation” of the top investment advisory firms in 40 countries. The World Finance team stated that CIBC FirstCaribbean stood out amongst its peers as the “go-to” bank for wealth management services due to its strong regional and international partnerships and its proactive and comprehensive focus on client needs and objectives.

This achievement was announced shortly after the CIBC FirstCaribbean Bahamas commercial banking team was recognized as the country’s 2016 Bank of the Year in The Banker Magazine’s 17th Annual Bracken Awards Programme in December. The bank’s Managing Director, Marie Rodland-Allen, celebrated the bank’s success of winning two prestigious industry awards in the same year as “an extraordinary example of what can be achieved when a team truly collaborates and puts customers first. Winning these awards sets us from our competitors and shows that our commitment to service and excellence in all areas of our business is truly paying off.”

The bank’s Private Wealth Management Centre Manager, Brent Haines, said his team members have always been committed to ensuring that they surpass their clients’ expectations. “This can be as simple as answering the phone every time our clients call so that they don’t have to speak to a computer or as complex as synthesizing multiple regulatory changes across the many jurisdictions our clients live and operate in.”

“With the open architecture platform that we provide for our asset management services, our clients can gain access to the best products from any provider; offering expert advice on how those products fit into our clients’ goals and future aspirations is the differentiating service that we offer.”

The bank’s Private Wealth Management division entered the Bahamian market in 2015 during a period in which some competitors closed their doors. In spite of challenging economic conditions, the team continues to excel.
