SOS Awards Double Prizes After Hurricanes

Since its launch late last year, Style Office Solutions (SOS) has perfected a model which has helped local companies improve both their look and work environment by making the process of outfitting an office space infinitely less daunting. Months after launching her turnkey design firm, Monique Graham, is well on her way to making her dream of transforming the lives of office workers and their work environments a reality. In September of last year, SOS launched its first Facebook competition, which would allow lucky customers to win a brand new ergonomic office chair. In addition to liking the SOS Facebook page, social media hopefuls were required to come up with the most original reason why they should be the lucky winner over others.

The chairs, valued at over three hundred and fifty dollars each, were manufactured by Global, a leading manufacturer of office furnishings. “Not only is this chair stylish,” said Monique Graham, Design Manager, “but it is also ergonomic in design meaning it should allow its user to sit comfortably for hours without pain”.

Scores of entries poured in as office workers from New Providence, Grand Bahama and the out islands wrote in to lament the current state of their own office furniture. With the hit of the Hurricane Mathew, Graham added a second winner to the competition. “As a Grand Bahama resident I saw the damage first hand to many homes and business,” she noted. “So we checked with Global, we dug a bit deeper into our pockets and have given away two chairs!”

In the end, it was Nicholon Roberts, whose current chair suffered two broken wheels, and zero spring support, who won the first giveaway. “I never thought I would be the winner,” Roberts said. “I actually thought these contests were already rigged and that they had their pre-picked people to win so I’m very excited.”

Facebook user Nikki Mackey an employee of the Ministry of Education in San Salvador, was chosen because her damaged chair would no longer allow her the luxury of leaning back without flipping over, forcing her into a completely upright position for hours at a time. In her entry Ms. Mackey proclaimed her personal connection with the chair. “This chair was calling my name, spelling my name out loud” she exclaimed!

Style Office Solutions wishes to extend sincere thanks and gratitude to everyone who participated and a special congratulations to our two winners! In the interim Style Office Solutions will continue to position itself as a forerunner in the industry of design and space planning.
