Employees at the government hot mix plant will receive promised hazardous pay hopefully, no later than the March pay period, according to Bahamas Public Services Union (BPSU) President John Pinder.
He said yesterday that Prime Minister?Hubert Ingraham has promised to give instructions to the relevant authorities to ensure that the 50 workers receive the hazardous pay.
“I spoke with the prime minister and he has assured me that they will be paid. He was to give instructions to the financial secretary to give instructions to the financial controller at the Ministry of Public Works to ensure that those persons are paid,” Pinder said.
