EDITOR, The Tribune.

I'd like to express my heartfelt thanks to the cemeteries division of the Ministry of Works for the Herculean effort that went into tidying up the eastern section of the historic Western cemetery.

When three busloads of family, mostly from abroad, visited the cemetery Saturday to pay their respects to the brothers Aristides and George Damianos, the sponge brokers who arrived here in 1896, a remarkable transformation had taken place.

The experience was positive.

A special thank you to Pamela Mullings and Zack Thompson for all their help.

As I said in an earlier letter, they are a credit to the Ministry...and to the community.
