Security Mesage for U.S. Citizens: Nassau Black Friday Protest - November 25, 2016

A #WeMarch demonstration calling for a 12-hour occupation of Bay Street in Nassau is scheduled to take place on Friday, November 25, 2016, commencing at 1:00p.m. at Arawak Cay ("Fish Fry") and proceeding east on  Bay Street to Rawson Square ("Parliament")


The U.S. Embassy in Nassau advises U.S. citizens to avoid areas of demonstration, and to exercise caution if in the vicinity of any large getherings, protests or demonstrations. Even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confontrational and escalate to violence.
