KFC Nassau's donation to World Hunger Relief efforts has increased steadily over the last three years and it is hoping to set another record this year. Through November 20, members of the public can join KFC Nassau and its staff in the fight to help sustainably feed those in need throughout the community, through hunger relief agencies that are beneficiaries of the Add Hope Campaign, such as Hands for Hunger, neighborhood charity organizations and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), the world's largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger. KFC consumers and the general public have the opportunity to "add hope" by making a donation with their KFC purchases, or through in-store donation boxes at their eight KFC Nassau locations. KFC Nassau has joined KFC restaurants around the world as the brand's annual fight against hunger kicked off with the launch of its Add Hope Campaign, a four-week philanthropic endeavor aimed to raise awareness, funds and much-needed food resources to assist in adding hope to the lives of people facing the major hunger epidemic plaguing communities worldwide, including in The Bahamas.

"We're excited for the return of the Add Hope Campaign in all of our KFC Nassau restaurants, bringing together the brand and its staff, the public and local charitable organizations in a powerful way to provide hope to many Bahamians affected by the growing issue of hunger within our country," said Eldira Backford, ambassador for KFC Nassau's 'Add Hope' Campaign.

With support from its customers, staff and the community in past hunger relief campaigns, KFC Nassau since 2013 has raised over $130,000. Almost 90 percent of the donated funds remain in The Bahamas to assist hunger relief efforts of Hands for Hunger, which renders assistance to about 14 local social service agencies in New Providence. Backford said KFC looks forward to another successful year.

"We look forward to the support of all that join the KFC Nassau brand in this meaningful way of giving back, and we're proud to unite with agencies throughout this initiative that play a tremendous role in servicing a vast amount of those in need such as Hands for Hunger and many other local charitable organizations," said Backford.

The global campaign launched in 2007 and was formerly known as the KFC World Hunger Relief Campaign; it is now KFC's Add Hope Campaign.
